Alumni Spotlight – Jordy LaBarbera

Do you ever wonder what’s inside the head of a former Division 1 Golfer and current Symetra Tour player?

Good news for you, now you don’t have to!

This weeks alumni spotlight, Jordy LaBarbera comes to us from Allen, Texas! She just recently graduated from the University of Arkansas. Prior to her collegiate career she competed in 12 tournaments with us on the TJGT where she carded 6 Top-5 Finishes. She also won our most sought-after tournament, the Red River Rivalry in 2012. Jordy helped the Allen Eagles to 4 district and 3 regional titles, and four Top-5 state championship finishes including Texas 5A Championship titles in her sophomore and senior seasons. She qualified for the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur and advanced to the round of 64 match play. She also posted her first AJGA victory in the 2014 AJGA Hunter Mahan and named to the 2014 Rolex Junior All American team. We could go on and on with her resume, it’s quite impressive.

During her time at the University of Arkansas, her low collegiate tournament was (75-73-70) at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in 2015 where she had a Top-10 finish. Jordy fired a low collegiate round of 67, in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in 2016. She is also a member of the 2015 SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll and was a 4-time selection to the Athletics Department Honor Roll. She now plays on the Symetra Tour where she has competed in 10 tournaments and is looking forward to the 2019 Season. Here’s a little more about Jordy:
