TJGT Shark Shootout
The TJGT Shark Shootout was played June 29-30 2009 Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club in Katy, TX. Over 60 players teed it up in partly cloudy but extremely hot weather with the Boys 16-18 playing the back tees, the Boys 12-15 playing the middle tees, and all Girls playing the front tees.
Local Katy Cinco Ranch product Abby Newton won the Girls 12-15 division as home cooking seems to keep going in the Houston events. Shikhi Cheruku of College Station won the Girls 16-18 Division with 2 solid scores.
Zach Baldwin of Houston stood strong with a great 2-day total of 3 over par in the boys 12-15 division.
Taylor Mulings could be wanted by Ft Bend County for torching his way to victory under a no burn ban burning a one under 143 for the tournament. Scott Newell dodged flames to shot a one over 145. Jack Swanson won in a playoff for 3rd shooting a 146.
