TJGT & GCCA ANNOUNCE EXPANDED PARTNERSHIP
TJGT & GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America - www.gcaa.collegiategolf.com) are excited to announce an expanded relationship to maximize the value to TJGT members. The professional association of men’s college golf coaches, the GCAA is recognized throughout the golf industry in the United States and around the world for its promotion of amateur golf at all levels. TJGT has become an official “Friend of the GCAA” and all TJGT members and the organizations within the iAlliance (Starburst, Houston Golf Association, Mexican Jr. Golf Association, Maple Leaf Golf Tour, Highschoolgolfscoreboard.com members will receive a complimentary subscription to the GCCA “College Golf Connection” online newsletter.
Dave Jones, TJGT President stated, “We are excited to partner with Coach Gregg Grost and the GCAA. Coach Grost is a huge supporter of junior golf and shares the same passion and vision to inform and educate junior golf families on all the opportunities within college golf. Coach Grost, a national championship head coach at the University of Oklahoma has been a guest speaker at our annual Sooner Jr. Classic Major @ Jimmy Austin GC. The Q & A evening with Coach Grost was one of the most popular and educating evenings we have ever experienced within our College Bound Membership Program. This relationship and partnership strengthens the TJGT commitment to bring the best information on recruiting, scholarships and the college experience to produce results for all our members. Jones adds, “The TJGT believes when we best inform and educate parents and players on the entire recruiting and scholarship process it will turn into scholarship dollars with better than a 90% success rate. TJGT success over the past 12 years of 3000 collegiate alumni is a result of this vision.”
Coach Monzingo, TJGT CBM Director stated, “As a former University of Oklahoma Asst. Golf Coach, it is a privilege to call Coach Grost my friend and to be associated with the GCAA. I share Coach Grost’s and Dave Jones passion to inform and educate our members on college golf opportunities better than anyone in the country. The credibility being associated with GCAA is second to none and we certainly appreciate them partnering with the TJGT and our iAlliance partners. We look forward to having Coach Grost on one of our popular monthly College Bound Membership conference calls. He brings a wealth of experience, insight; vision and passion to further college golf and see every junior golf family pursue their dreams of obtaining a college education and hopefully playing at the collegiate level.”
Coach Grost says, “The TJGT is something I wish had been in existence when I was growing up playing junior golf in Texas many years ago. Not only do they provide highly competitive regional competition they also provide families with a comprehensive look at the entire collegiate recruiting and evaluation process, which is equally important. They are an invaluable resource that is being utilized by more and more parents and prospective student athletes (PSA). Each year we are approached by various associations, junior tours, academies, etc., looking to partner with the GCAA. We are careful in this regard, as there are groups and individuals across the country and around the world that do not provide a quality junior golf experience or accurate PSA information. The GCAA is quite pleased to have the TJGT and its iAlliance Partners as Friends of The Association. Simply put, TJGT tournaments are a great place to showcase your skills, meet new friends and be discovered.”
