The TJGT Links at Westfork Conroe Open
The TJGT Links at Westfork Conroe Open was played at the Links at Westfork in Conroe, Tx on October 31st and November 1st, 2009. Players from Texas and Mexico teed it up in absolutely beautiful weather in this 36-hole, nationally-ranked event. The Boys 16-18 played 6,908 yards; the Boys 12-15 played 6,353 yards; and all Girls 12-18 played 5,450 yards.
Heavy fog on Saturday morning did gave way to a lights out 1st round 68 by Austin Degrate. All players enjoyed powder blue skies and fair breezes on both tournament days. This is awesome Texas golf weather.
Taylor Stockton breezed through the girls 12-15 for a 1st place finish
Katelyn McDougal surged to victory in the girls 16-18 division with a solid round of 73. Narrowly defeating Courtney Ferguson and Kirby Kramer who battled out in a playoff for 2nd.
Carter Patterson cruised to a 4 shot victory in the boys 12-15.
Austin Degrate fended off a late charge by Scott Terrell to win the Boys 16-18 title.
