HighSchoolGolfScoreboard.com and Golfstat have been approved to live score our state tournaments for the first time in texas high school golf history. TAGC’s (Texas Association of Golf Coaches) leadership has coordinated UIL approval. Thank you UIL. Why is this significant: because Golfstat receives over 30 million, that’s right 30 million page views in the month of May only and Texas High School Golf leaderboards will be front and center via the Golfstat &HighSchoolGolfScoreboard.com links. You will be able to watch the scores via your computer, Blackberry, iPhone etc. team & individual results will be followed by thousands statewide, nationwide as well as internationally. HSGS will also send daily results to every college coach at every NCAA level.
You will be able to see team & individual scoring every three holes. we highly recommend you view Golfstat.com and look at the current collegiate post season tournaments taking place. For example, the Big XII mens & women’s championships, SEC and others just completed. Texas will be one of the few states to showcase high school golf to the nation.
Quite simply: Golfstat is to golf like CBS is to the Final Four - WORLDWIDE EXPOSURE!
We Need Your Help in Two Areas: Sponsorship and Volunteers.
Volunteers: we need eight volunteers each day, per course; sixteen (16) total per day. Anybody can volunteer, high school golfers, coaches, parents or avid golfers. Each volunteer will record each group’s last three hole scores and call into scoring central. This is a very simple job that is accomplished at hundreds of college & jr. golf tournaments each month. Once again, we just need 16 bodies per round. Volunteers will report at 7 AM each day for a pre-round briefing/instructions. Please contact anyone you know is the Austin/local area who can give back to high school golf.
HSGS will present the following appreciation gifts to all volunteers:
· One DFW & Houston Avid Golfer Magazine Passbook containing over 40 free rounds of golf; a $1800 value!
· One tee-shirt
· Lunch each day with drink
· $10 Golfsmith gift cards.
· One complimentary certificate for a foursome at Trophy Club, Country Club in DFW; a $450 value!
Volunteers must score a total of 36 holes to receive all gifts above. 18 hole volunteer will receive all gifts except for Avid Golfer Passbooks.
What to bring: lawn chair, charged cell phone, umbrella, rain jacket, snacks, sun glasses, and a good attitude
Sponsorship info:
Golfstat costs are $1500 per state boys & girls tournament, therefore 2A-5A total cost is $6000 or $1500 per state division tournament. We would appreciate if any of your parents or their businesses would step forward to showcase Texas HS golf. The sponsorship dollars go directly back to cover the live scoring costs only. Furthermore for any sponsor, HSGS will provide significant exposure for any company advertising during the live scoring week. Remember, Golfstat receives 30 million plus page views per month and Golfstat expects the state championships to draw more than 8 million plus page views.
