Former TJGT Player Stacy Lewis leads United States to victory in the Curtis Cup
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland - Stacy Lewis completed a perfect week on the Old Course with a singles victory Sunday that clinched another American victory in the Curtis Cup.
Lewis, a former NCAA champion from Arkansas, was the only player to win all five matches in the first Curtis Cup played at the home of golf. Her final victory came over Elizabeth Bennett, 3 and 2, and it gave the Americans 10 1/2 points to secure their sixth consecutive victory over Great Britain & Ireland.
TJGT President Dave Jones, “It is an honor to have a TJGT alumni help bring home victory for the US in the Curtis Cup. This is just another example of the caliber of player the TJGT consistently produces not only on the boys side, but the girls side as well. If you are a female junior golfer and you truly want to play collegiate golf and play with the best, then you need to play on the TJGT!”
