TJGT VOTED BEST LOCAL TOUR FOR BETTER PLAYERS!

Sponsored in part by Nike Golf

Avid Golfer Magazine published its annual “Best Of” issue and the Texas Junior Golf Tour was voted “Best Local Tour For Better Players”.  TJGT President Dave Jones had this to say, “It is an extreme honor to be recognized as the best tour for better players by Mr. Craig Rosengarden and Avid Golfer Magazine.  When we say ‘come play with the best’, don’t just take our word for it, listen to what the media says about us as well.”
The TJGT has over 900 former members playing college golf, placed more kids in the number one junior tournament, the Thunderbird and the AJGA Canon Cup the last two years, has a staff of over 50 current high school coaches from all over the state, and these are only a few of the reasons we are recognized as the best.
Copies of the magazine can be found all over the DFW metroplex at golf courses and golf retail shops or online at www.myavidgolfer.com.

Other winners with TJGT ties were:

Tournament Everyone Looks Forward To: Starburst Junior (iAlliance member)

One of the largest events anywhere is the Starburst Junior in Waco. Parents caddie for the kids, and there is more candy around than at Halloween. www.starburstgolf.com

Best Texas Trip: Barton Creek Resort (Home of the TJGT Holiday Classic)

The mind-numbing drive down Interstate 35 is a whole lot better if Barton Creek is the final destination. The posh Austin resort boasts four courses, two of which Tom Fazio designed. www.bartoncreek.com

Best Place to See the Best Junior Golfers in Town: AJGA Wellstone Communities Junior at Craig Ranch (Several TJGT Board Members help run this event)

The American Junior Golf Association is the most elite junior golf organization in the country. Craig Ranch hosts an AJGA event in April that attracts the best juniors in the country. www.ajga.org
