Two more TJGT events played on challenging venues- another great weekend of TJGT golf.
First up the TJGT Golf Club of Dallas Junior Championship was played at The Golf Club of Dallas on January 21st-22nd, 2012.
The Boys 15-18 played 6,719 yards; the Boys 12-14 played 6,202 yards; all Girls 12-18 played 5,727 yards in this 36-hole nationally-ranked event. Almost 75 players teed it up in cold, breezy weather on day one and in windy, mild weather on day two. Coaches from the Southland Conference, the Heartland Conference, and the Red River Athletic Conference, were in attendance scouting the competition.
The story of the event had to be the blistering final round 66 fired by SFA-signee Major Monzingo in front of his coach-to-be and TJGT alum Trey Schroeder. The future Lumberjack didn’t let the fast greens or 20mph winds phase him as he played leader board leapfrog to win by seven shots.
