The TJGT Cypresswood Junior Championship was played September 25-26 2010 at the Cypresswood Golf Club on the Cypress Course in Cypress, Texas. Over 60 players from Texas, Louisiana, Mexico teed it up in almost perfect weather in this 36-hole nationally-ranked event with the Boys 16-18 playing 6,906 yards; the Boys 12-15 playing 6,238 yards; and all Girls 5,714 yards.
Luke Sheehan used 5 birdies in his final of 68 round to overcome a final round of 67 by runner-up Jose Narro. Zach Baldwin’s consistent play of 71-70 gained him third-place honors.
The excitement of the tournament came in the boys 12-15 division where Michael Cotton won by 2 shots over Carter Patterson and Ryan Crissman who shot 151. The playoff for 2nd place ended when Angela No’s consistent play provided her championship over Taylor Stockton. Taylor began day two with a nine on hole #1 and couldn’t recover enough shots to threaten Angela.

The TJGT Live Oak Junior Championship was played at the Live Oak Course at Lakeway Golf Club September 25-26, 2010. The Boys 16-18 played 6,849 yards; the Boys 12-15 played 6,435 yards; and all Girls 12-18 played 5,659 yards in yet another 36-hole, nationally-ranked event. Players from Texas, China, and Australia enjoyed the beautiful Fall weather (not counting the 20-minute delay for lightening) on a great course.
