Have you ever noticed that college coaches aren’t lined up behind one another at local high school tournaments? Why is that? Isn’t that how they recruit golfers? The simple answer is no, that’s not how college coaches recruit high school golfers.

College coaches don’t have the time or resources to visit high school event after high school event, hoping to come across talented golfers to recruit. The truth is, if they make a visit to a high school tournament, they are there to see one or two particular golfers that they have already been in contact with, or who have caught their eye. If you haven’t had college coaches approach you during an event, chances are that they haven’t even seen you yet.

So how do you get college coaches to come see you play? The easy answer is: play events where they are going to be!

The TJGT has more college coaches at more events than any other Tour in Texas year-in and year-out. When you tee it up on the TJGT chances are there will be anywhere from 1-30+ college coaches from all divisions on-hand watching you compete. If you want exposure to college coaches, the TJGT is the place to be.
